Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant/Houseman to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment including industrial washers, dryers, garment care machines, and dry cleaning units to process textiles efficiently.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper sorting, washing, drying, and finishing of linens and garments.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the laundry area by adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate laundry detergents.
- Use push carts and other tools to transport heavy loads safely between workstations while following manual handling procedures.
- Monitor laundry processes to ensure quality control, inspecting textiles for stains or damage that require special treatment or reprocessing.
- Follow safety standards in production environments by wearing protective gear, adhering to safety protocols, and reporting hazards promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to requests for laundry services, ensuring timely delivery of cleaned textiles, and maintaining a positive attitude.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cleaning, laundry services, or textile care
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials with manual handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents and managing laundry loads accurately.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and safety standards in production environments.
- Familiarity with garment care machines, industrial dryers, dry cleaning equipment, and textile cleaning processes is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control and garment care.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to customer service.
