Position Overview
Yuminaga Foods LLC is seeking a motivated Remote Sales Specialist to help grow our customer base among cafés, restaurants, specialty beverage shops, and foodservice businesses.
This is a fully remote, commission-based only opportunity ideal for someone with strong communication skills, sales experience, and an interest in food, beverage, Japanese ingredients, or matcha. The role is focused on introducing Yuminaga Foods to potential wholesale customers and helping generate new business.
About Yuminaga Foods
Yuminaga Foods is a family-owned Japanese food ingredient supplier with over 30 years of experience. We specialize in Japanese ingredients, including matcha and other specialty food products, and work with cafés, restaurants, beverage brands, food manufacturers, distributors, and foodservice partners.
Responsibilities
- Identify and contact potential customers, including cafés, restaurants, specialty beverage shops, bakeries, dessert shops, and foodservice businesses.
- Introduce Yuminaga Foods, our Japanese ingredients, and our matcha products to prospective customers.
- Support basic sales conversations and help explain product benefits, pricing structure, sample options, and ordering process.
- Follow up with leads by email, phone, LinkedIn, or other professional communication channels.
- Collect customer information, track conversations, and report qualified leads and opportunities.
- Help move qualified customers from initial interest to sample request, quotation, and purchase order.
- Share customer feedback, market trends, and sales opportunities with the Yuminaga Foods team.
Compensation
- This is a commission-based independent contractor role.
- Commission rate: 5% of net collected sales.
Work Location
This role is fully remote. Candidates may work from anywhere, but preference may be given to candidates with strong connections to cafés, restaurants, specialty food businesses, or foodservice buyers in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable reaching out to cafés, restaurants, and foodservice businesses.
- Interest in food, beverage, matcha, Japanese ingredients, or specialty products.
- Prior experience in sales, foodservice, restaurant supply, café operations, retail, wholesale, or customer service is a plus.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
- Ability to communicate professionally by email, phone, and online platforms.
- Existing relationships with cafés, restaurants, distributors, or foodservice buyers are a strong plus.
