CONSTRUCTION FIELD ENGINEER JOB DESCRIPTION
A. Daily Job Duties
- Assist in obtaining, evaluating, coordinating and distributing the information and authorizations needed to construct the project on time, within budget, and to the quality specified.
- Assist in preparation of a contract items list.
- Assist in the preparation of final records for the project.
- Author subcontract change orders and change order requests to client.
- Distribute information required for construction to appropriate parties.
- Ensure that materials and equipment are released in time to meet the construction schedule.
- Maintain EEO compliances.
- Obtain information and approvals for processing of shop drawings and submittals.
- Prepare estimates for the changes in the works from subcontractors.
- Provide document constructability reviews.
- Report to the Project Engineer.
Visits to various sites around New England are required. Must be able to climb permanent and temporary stairs, climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Must have close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds; be exposed to moving mechanical parts; mobile and stationary cranes; elevated structures; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.

B. Education
- Four-year college degree with at least four years of formal engineering OR architectural training or at least three years of building construction experience required.
C. Minimum Related Prior Experience
- Four years formal engineering or architecture training or three years of building construction experience.
D. Preferred Special Skills
- A basic understanding of accounting and cost control procedures.
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate management know-how, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of: All general contract, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, Microsoft Office, Procore Construction Manager and Microsoft Project scheduling

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
