Tri-County is seeking a qualified, compassionate Nutrition Coordinator to develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive nutrition program for a Head Start program serving pregnant persons and children ages birth to five years and their families.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: include developing, implementing and monitoring a high-quality nutrition services program including supporting children with special dietary needs, allergies and medical diets; ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including CACFP; maintaining accurate nutrition data and reports; and participating in continuous improvement planning. The Nutrition Coordinator works closely with the program catering vendor to coordinate menu planning and meal counts; monitor service quality and scheduling; and ensure safe food handling practices and compliance with sanitation regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must be a Registered Dietician or Licensed Nutritionist, have a minimum of (1) year of experience in community nutrition, preferably with children birth -5; maintain a valid driver’s license; and have basic computer skills. Food Safety Certification preferred.
