Manually and with machinery cut metal to required size using saw machine with HMI controls or computer guided burn table. The following is only a summary:
Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to:
- Set up and operate programmable machines to burn/cut steel
- Conduct quality and quantity checks of steel products received
- Safely operate material handling equipment (overhead crane, forklift, carts/dollies) and wear proper PPE as needed for task
- Basic understanding of cutting gas pressures and kerf relationships
- Ability to operate various power tools to include but not limited to: sander, table saw, chop saw, grinder, air blower
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be able to read and interpret prints/drawings; Calculate math (add, substract, multiply, divide)
- Determine accurate measurements
- Identify various different types of steel
- Able to set up cutting jobs with computer program
- Planning/Organized - learn the production process and anticipate production needs
- Quality - take pride in your work and build equipment accurately and with quality welds
- Quantity - Be able to complete the build within estimated hours.
Medium Work: Lift 50 pounds maximum. Frequently lift/carry up to 25 pounds. Unrestricted walking and standing, bending, squatting, climbing.
