Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team committed to transforming lives through behavioral health services. As an RBT, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, providing evidence-based behavioral therapy grounded in applied behavior analysis (ABA). Your role is vital in implementing personalized care plans, assisting with daily living activities, and fostering meaningful progress in clients’ communication, social skills, and independence. Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), ensuring consistency and fidelity in service delivery
- Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses during therapy sessions accurately and efficiently to inform ongoing treatment adjustments
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, promoting independence and self-care skills
- Use positive reinforcement strategies to encourage desired behaviors and manage challenging behaviors effectively within a supportive framework
- Collaborate with team members to develop, review, and update care plans tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards when handling medical records, documentation, and client information
- Support clients’ educational and behavioral development through engaging teaching techniques aligned with special education principles
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is highly preferred
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and behavior management strategies is essential
- Experience in data collection for behavioral health or educational settings demonstrates your ability to track progress accurately
- Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation practices, and care plan implementation enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers are crucial for success
- A background in special education or patient care provides a solid foundation for understanding diverse client needs
