Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare teams
- Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption to promote health and well-being
- Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Use manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to assist with transfers and mobility
- Document resident progress, care activities, and incident reports accurately and promptly
Skills
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice care practices
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, neurodevelopmental disorders, or intellectual disabilities
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality
- Proficiency in assisting with ADLs, medication administration, patient monitoring, and vital signs measurement
- Experience with manual handling techniques such as heavy lifting and the use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts
- Excellent caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and strong communication abilities
- Knowledge of safety procedures including first aid and CPR certification is preferred
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in home & community care settings or long-term care environments

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
