Job Summary
Under the direction of the Special Education Director this position identifies and provides remedial services for students with impairments of language, speech and hearing. This position serves as a resource person to regular and special education teachers.
Duties
- Maintains confidentiality
- Provides appropriate individualized programs of therapy to meet individual student needs and correct existing speech or language handicaps
- Provides a thorough assessment and diagnosis of speech, voice, hearing, and language impairments when students are referred and parent permission for testing has been granted
- Assumes primary responsibility for development, implementation, and the annual review of an individual educational program for every child on the caseload
- Provides information, support, and consultation to parents and families when appropriate
- Compiles and maintains appropriate records
- Assumes primary responsibility for requisitioning and maintaining needed equipment and supplies
Requirements
- Hold the appropriate California Credential authorizing assignment as a Speech and Language Pathologist.
10 month position
Pay: From $94,004.00 per year
