Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to provide essential support for a 20-year-old young man. He is legally blind, non-ambulatory and has a feeding tube. This is a non-invasive, stimulating, and supportive role focused on his well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily personal hygiene (showering and dressing).
- Administer feeding via a feeding tube according to established routines.
- Engage in stimulating and supportive activities.
- Monitor and ensure his safety and well-being.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks related to his care to maintain a clean living space.
- Out in the community
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be COVID-vaccinated and have experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. To ensure the highest quality of care, candidates must possess at least one of the following credentials:
- Nursing: Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Behavioral: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).
- Specialized: NADD Certification (Clinical, Dual Diagnosis, or Support Professional).
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals facing behavioral challenges.
Schedule and Compensation
- Days/Times: Monday and Wednesday (3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.); Saturday or Sunday (8-hour shift, flexible start time).
- Pay: Starting from $25.00 per hour.
