Medical Courier Driver – 1099 Independent Contractor

CG Logistics LLC is building a qualified driver network for an upcoming medical courier delivery project anticipated to begin September 1, 2026.
We are looking for dependable, professional 1099 Independent Contractor drivers who are ready to provide reliable medical delivery services throughout the DMV region.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- HIPAA certification required
- Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) certification required
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Vehicle must be an SUV, minivan, cargo van, or larger
- Sedans/cars will not be accepted
- Reliable smartphone with GPS/data
- Ability to meet required background and motor vehicle screening
- Professional appearance and communication
- Dependable and able to complete accepted assignments
- Ability to follow medical courier safety, confidentiality, and delivery procedures
VEHICLE REQUIREMENT
Drivers must provide and operate their own vehicle.
Acceptable vehicles include:
- SUV
- Minivan
- Cargo van
- Larger cargo/commercial vehicle
No cars/sedans.
Drivers are responsible for their own vehicle expenses, including fuel, maintenance, insurance, registration, tolls, and other operating costs associated with their business.
1099 INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR
This is a 1099 independent-contractor opportunity, not a W-2 employee position.
Independent contractors are responsible for:
- Their own federal, state, and local taxes
- Their own vehicle and operating expenses
- Maintaining required insurance
- Their own fuel and maintenance
- Their own business records and tax obligations
No company vehicle is provided.
AVAILABILITY
We are looking for drivers with flexible availability.
- Monday–Friday preferred
- Availability 5–7 days per week is a plus
- Weekend availability may be needed based on route demand
- Preferred operating window is approximately 5:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Actual start/end times will vary depending on the route and assignment
- Route schedules, mileage, stops, and workload may vary
Drivers should be prepared for both scheduled and potential on-demand opportunities.
MEDICAL COURIER RESPONSIBILITIES
Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may include:
- Pickup and delivery of medical supplies and healthcare-related materials
- Hospital and healthcare facility deliveries
- Residential medical deliveries
- Following pickup and delivery procedures
- Maintaining proof of delivery
- Professional communication with facilities and customers
- Protecting confidential information
- Following applicable medical courier safety and handling procedures
- Safely transporting assigned materials and completing accepted routes on time
ROUTE & COMPENSATION
Specific route assignments, mileage, number of stops, schedules, workload, and compensation will vary by engagement.
Route details and compensation will be discussed before a contractor accepts an assignment.
