This a great opportunity for the right person. It is very important to fit cultually. The family and properties are amazing!
About the Company-
This is a family-owned hospitality company with a longstanding presence in Estes Park, Colorado. The hotel portfolio has served the Estes Park community and its visitors for many years, offering stability, local market knowledge, and a highly engaged ownership group. Candidates will have the opportunity to work directly with ownership in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment rather than within a large corporate structure.
As the company continues to invest in its people, properties, and future growth, ownership is adding this leadership role to strengthen operations, support department managers, create consistency across the portfolio, and continue building a strong foundation for the organization.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Multi-Unit General Manager to oversee a portfolio of hotels. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong hospitality leader who understands hotel operations, team development, guest service, financial performance, and the importance of building trust within an established culture.
The ideal candidate will bring a servant leadership style, strong operational discipline, and the ability to integrate into the current culture while contributing fresh ideas, structure, and leadership that strengthen the overall organization. This person will oversee approximately eight department managers and will be responsible for supporting property-level leadership, improving processes, developing teams, and ensuring consistent standards across all hotels.
This role requires a leader who is visible, approachable, hands-on, and comfortable balancing strategic oversight with day-to-day operational involvement. The right leader will value relationships, collaboration, accountability, and developing people while helping the organization continue to grow thoughtfully and successfully.
Why This Position Is Being Added
Ownership is investing in additional senior leadership to strengthen day-to-day operations, support department managers, improve communication and accountability, and continue elevating the guest and team member experience across the hotel portfolio. This position is being created as an opportunity to add structure, leadership capacity, and operational excellence while preserving and strengthening the culture already in place.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee the daily operations and performance of four hotel properties.
· Lead, mentor, and support approximately eight department managers across the portfolio.
· Build strong relationships with existing team members while integrating smoothly into the current company culture.
· Strengthen operational systems, standards, communication, and accountability across all properties.
· Implement processes and best practices to improve efficiency, service consistency, guest satisfaction, and financial performance.
· Provide hands-on leadership and support to property teams when needed.
· Create a positive, service-focused work environment rooted in servant leadership.
· Develop department managers through coaching, training, feedback, and clear expectations.
· Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of key hotel leadership and hourly team members.
· Ensure high standards of guest service, cleanliness, safety, and overall hotel presentation.
· Review property performance, labor controls, service scores, expenses, and revenue opportunities.
· Partner with ownership on budgets, forecasts, capital needs, staffing plans, and strategic initiatives.
· Identify areas for operational improvement and create practical action plans.
· Support a culture of accountability while maintaining a collaborative and respectful leadership approach.
· Ensure compliance with brand standards, company policies, safety procedures, and local/state/federal regulations.
· Serve as a strong ambassador for the company, the hotels, the ownership group, and the leadership culture.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
· Previous experience as a General Manager, Area General Manager, Regional Operations Leader, or Multi-Unit Hotel Leader.
· Strong hotel operations experience, preferably across multiple properties or complex hotel environments.
· Proven ability to lead department managers and develop strong leadership teams.
· A hands-on leadership style with the ability to step in, support, coach, and problem-solve.
· Strong process implementation and operational improvement skills.
· A servant leadership mindset with a genuine commitment to supporting and developing people.
· A relationship-driven approach with strong collaboration, communication, follow-up, and trust-building skills.
· The ability to respect and integrate into an existing culture while helping elevate and strengthen it.
· Strong financial acumen, including labor management, budgeting, forecasting, expense control, and revenue awareness.
· Experience improving guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and operational consistency.
· Strong training and development skills with the ability to build confidence and capability in others.
· High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and sound judgment.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities across several locations while remaining visible and accessible to teams.
Leadership Style & Culture
This position is best suited for a leader who is visible, engaged, and people-focused. The right candidate will know how to earn trust, listen first, support existing teams, and then thoughtfully implement structure and improvements. This is not a purely office-based leadership role. The Multi-Unit General Manager should be comfortable walking properties, engaging with employees, supporting department heads, and staying close to the guest and team member experience.
Culture is extremely important to the organization. We are looking for someone who values relationships, servant leadership, collaboration, accountability, and developing people. The ideal leader will strengthen the culture that has already been built while bringing additional structure, consistency, and operational excellence to the portfolio.
