Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Personal Injury Paralegal to join our team. In this role, you will work directly alongside experienced trial attorneys, taking primary responsibility for managing a busy automobile accident litigation caseload. You will oversee files autonomously from complaint through trial preparation, independently drafting substantive discovery responses, pleadings, and court disclosures with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Case Management: Run Michigan First-Party No-Fault (PIP) and Third-Party Auto Negligence case files independently from initial litigation through trial prep.
- Discovery & Pleadings: Draft initial disclosures, interrogatories, requests for production, discovery responses, motion responses, and trial witness lists.
- Trial Preparation: Summarize medical records and deposition transcripts, compile exhibit binders, track scheduling order deadlines, and coordinate pre-trial disclosures.
- Court Filings: Handle state court electronic filings via MiFILE and maintain internal calendar/docketing.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, defense counsel, medical providers, and insurance adjusters.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5+ years of dedicated experience handling Michigan First-Party PIP and Third-Party Auto Accident litigation.
- Drafting Expertise: Proven ability to independently draft discovery responses, motion responses, and court disclosures accurately and thoroughly.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on proficiency with legal case management software (e.g., Filevine, Clio, MyCase) and Michigan's electronic filing system (MiFILE).
- Work Ethic: Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a proactive mindset capable of managing strict court deadlines.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
