Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join a busy Operating Room team in Stockton, CA. The ideal candidate will be skilled in maintaining a sterile surgical environment and providing exceptional support to surgeons and perioperative staff during surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile supplies for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during operative procedures
- Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards
- Anticipate surgical team needs and ensure proper instrument availability
- Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts
- Assist with room turnover and preparation for upcoming cases
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards
- Maintain accurate documentation related to surgical procedures
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
Qualifications
- Previous Operating Room experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile processing techniques
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
