Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Landman with a minimum of 5 years HBP title experience to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to title, due diligence, and other land management projects by ensuring accurate title research, thorough documentation review, and effective communication . The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach, strong organizational skills, and a passion for land work. The candidate will be working with strong land teams and be supported by a Land Broker who strives to provide a positive working environment and consistent work.
Duties
- Conduct courthouse, online, and county/parish records research to determine current record title ownership.
- Prepare thorough, defensible HBP (Held By Production) title runs, including lease status, pooling/unitization history, and continuous operations analysis.
- Identify and resolve title defects, gaps in the chain of title, and outstanding curative requirements.
- Draft clear, well-organized title runsheets, ownership reports, and curative requirement letters.
- Verify and update division order and lease records as needed to support acquisition, divestiture, or development projects.
- Coordinate with landmen, title attorneys, and project leads to meet basin-specific deadlines and reporting standards.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity across all client and company records.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years expierence with HBP title.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for document preparation and data analysis
- Familiarity with real estate law principles, legal descriptions, easements, rights-of-way, and title search procedures
- Ability to interpret public records, legal documents, and legal descriptions accurately
- Excellent research skills combined with attention to detail for thorough title record examination
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
