Big Ditch Brewing Company is seeking a Prep Cook for our Downtown Taproom.
Duties:
- Preparation of food in a high-volume kitchen
- Operation of standard commercial kitchen equipment
- Basic knife skills
- Understanding of basic food safety
- Follows directions, checklists and adheres to standard operating procedures
- Reads recipes and follows documented directions to complete daily tasks
- Monitor stock and advise when product restock is needed
Qualifications:
- Works well under pressure. Must be organized and self-motivated.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Ensures high quality food at all times
- Must prepare food cleanly and maintain excellent personal hygiene
- Must have a love of food and a desire to work hard, to continue learning and to strive for excellence
- Excellent communication skills
- Must work well in a team environment
- Arrive at work on time properly prepared for shift
- No specific experience or higher education is required. Training will be provided for this position.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop or kneel. Must be able to stand for an entire shift and climb stairs regularly. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Must be 18 years of age.
