POSITION TITLE: Therapist (LMFT/AMFT, LCSW/ACSW)
REPORTS TO: Head of Service
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Therapist provides mental health services for residents ages 14 to 20 in a Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP). Duties include: Conduct individual and group therapy; Maintain clinical records of residents within required timelines; Participate in treatment meetings involving residents, including (CFT’s).
About us: Dangerfield Institute of Urban Problems provides a residential program for children who have experienced trauma, ages 14 to Non-Minor Dependent. Dangerfield is dedicated to the youth served and their complete rehabilitation through Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:
. Therapeutic Intervention
· Complete Mental Health Assessments
· After Care Therapy
· Complete DMH Billing expectations
· Develop treatment plans with measurable and observable goals
· Provide developmentally appropriate therapeutic interventions for children served
· Complete all agency required documentations in a timely manner in our EHR system
· Provide a minimum of 65% clinical hours of billable services (including individual and group therapy; collateral contacts; plan development, case management, etc.).
2. Other Responsibilities
· Attend and participate in team meetings, staff meetings, and required training. Present cases to assess the effectiveness of treatment, level of treatment, and review and update treatment goals
· Maintain safe practices.
· Abide by the organization's policies and procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage, and Family Therapy.
· Two years of experience in providing treatment to children who have experienced trauma
· Be licensed or registered by their respective California licensing board of jurisdiction.
· Experience with DMH Billing
· Knowledge of the Child Welfare System, Victim’s Compensation Program, and HIPAA regulations.
2. Special Skills, Licenses, and Certifications.
· LMFT/AMFT, LCSW/ACSW, Clinical Psychologist or license eligible.
· Knowledge of therapeutic mental health intervention services for children and families who have experienced trauma and neglect.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain critical internal and external relationships to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
· Accurate and on-time completion of paperwork.
· Ability to organize and triage tasks.
· Ability to work in a challenging environment.
· Computer literate.
· Valid California driver's license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $67,554.00 - $75,000.00 per year
