1. Demonstrate knowledge of child growth and development through planning and implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets recommended standards to ensure health, safety, and nutrition of children as reflected in the weekly lesson plans.
2. Create a learning environment based on children's needs, interests, and abilities and one that is reflective of the children's families and cultures.
3. Partner with families to create an open system of effective communication and to assist in making smooth transitions from home to the classroom and to demonstrate professional practices in all aspects of work.
5. Supervise, train, evaluate, model and mentor staff and volunteers as needed.
6. Complete professional development plan annually with supervisor and maintain credentialing required by Keystone Stars, NAEYC, and DPW. Support all Children's Village activities, fundraising activities and family events.
