Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date firm calendar at all times
- Answer phones, communicate with clients and engage in client intake
- Manage and organize legal documents
- Draft, proofread, and review legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, memos, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and court filings while maintaining meticulous calendars and deadlines
- Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses as part of case preparation; document findings thoroughly
- Support case management activities by entering data accurately into PCLaw and other case management software
- Perform general clerical duties including filing, data entry, phone etiquette, proofreading, transcription, and maintaining organized files
- Provide executive administrative support by managing correspondence and facilitating communication between team members
Experience
- Proven experience in a legal environment or law office setting with familiarity in legal administrative tasks
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently under tight deadlines
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities
- Experience in conducting interviews or client interactions is a plus
- Familiarity with litigation and NJ eCourts and filing processes preferred
- Technical skills including data entry accuracy and proficiency in document management systems are essential

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
