CNC Machine Operator (2nd Shift) Monday–Thursday | 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM
Four days on. Three-day weekends. Every week.
Owens Industries is looking for a Second Shift CNC Machine Operator who is dependable, mechanically inclined, and interested in building a long-term career in precision manufacturing. We are willing to train the right person who has the attitude, work ethic, and desire to learn. Training will take place on the 1st shift until parties agree the required skills has been met.
The right candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, be comfortable working with measurements and numbers, have a solid understanding of basic math, and be motivated to grow their skills within the machining industry. Previous CNC experience is preferred, but we value the right mindset and willingness to learn.

This isn't an assembly-line environment. Our shop specializes in ultra-precision machining for the aerospace and defense industries, producing complex, low-volume components from materials like titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, and other high-performance alloys.
Your Day Will Include:
- Setting up and operating CNC milling or turning equipment
- Performing tool offsets and making minor program adjustments
- Inspecting parts using precision measuring instruments
- Reading blueprints and following work instructions
- Work with complex, tight tolerance parts and ability to hold tolerances (±0.0001" or better)
- Proficiency in machining challenging metals like Titanium, Inconel, and Stainless Steel
- Working closely with programmers, inspectors, and fellow machinists to produce exceptional parts
- Keeping your machine and work area clean, organized, and safe
What You'll Bring:
- CNC machining experience or willingness to learn
- Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, models, and GD&T requirements
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- Openness to utilizing advanced CAM software like Mastercam or PowerMill and performing G-code edits
- Willingness to learn and grow your machining skills
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as bending or twisting, grasping, standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, carrying, and use hands to operate tools or machine controls
