Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Full-Time, where you'll play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our geriatric patients. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), promoting independence and functional skills.
- Implement treatment plans designed by occupational therapists, ensuring adherence to prescribed therapies.
- Facilitate patient care by assisting with mobility, manual handling, and patient transport within various healthcare settings.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals such as physicians, speech therapists, and physical therapists to optimize client outcomes.
- Maintain accurate care documentation, progress notes, and treatment records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to support comprehensive patient care in our skilled nursing facility.
Experience
- Proven experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, disabilities, or in geriatrics to deliver specialized occupational therapy services.
- Prior inpatient experience in hospitals or skilled nursing facilities demonstrating ability to manage acute care needs is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical imaging procedures and understanding of care plans related to complex medical conditions.
- Hands-on experience assisting with care documentation, caregiver communication, and client communication in skilled nursing facilities.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to support effective treatment plan implementation.

Pay: $29.00 - $38.00 per hour
