Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chemical Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic research and development team. In this role, you will perform precise chemical analyses, support laboratory experiments, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Duties
- Conduct chemical analyses using advanced laboratory techniques, including spectroscopy, chromatography, and titration methods.
- Prepare and standardize reagents, solutions, and samples following strict laboratory procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of experimental data, observations, and results using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Perform microbiological testing, histology preparations, molecular biology assays, and other specialized analyses as required.
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols by handling chemicals safely, maintaining sterile techniques, and ensuring proper disposal of hazardous materials.
- Support quality control initiatives by monitoring processes, troubleshooting issues, and documenting deviations or non-conformances.
- Assist in research projects related to animal physiology, veterinary terminology, or biomedical sciences by collecting data and supporting experimental design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in research & development efforts to innovate and improve laboratory procedures.
- Maintain laboratory equipment through routine calibration, cleaning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
Experience
- Proven industrial laboratory experience with a strong understanding of laboratory techniques and procedures.
- Experience working in microbiology, histology, molecular biology or clinical laboratories is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to handle chemicals safely following chemical handling safety procedures.
- Prior experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data collection and record keeping.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology or research setting experience is a plus.
- Strong analysis skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail in scientific research environments.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately while maintaining compliance with laboratory standards.
- Excellent math skills for data analysis, calculations, and interpretation of experimental results.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
