Job Title: RN – ICU (Critical Care)
Location: Bloomington, IN 47403
Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Pay Rate
- Local Candidates (Within 50 Miles): $54/hour (Negotiable)
- Travel Candidates (Over 50 Miles): $60/hour (Negotiable)
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and care for critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other physician-ordered treatments.
- Operate and monitor advanced critical care equipment, including ventilators and cardiac monitors.
- Recognize changes in patient condition and respond quickly to emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery expectations.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection prevention protocols.
Requirements
- Active Indiana RN License (or Compact RN License if applicable).
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/Critical Care experience preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Experience with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical care protocols preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Previous travel nursing experience is a plus but not required.
Pay: $54.00 - $60.00 per hour
