New deli in Downtown Helena is seeking food service professionals. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality food and exceptional service to our customers. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and menu guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other culinary tools.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to strict sanitation and food safety standards.
- Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements based on customer preferences.
- Serve customers promptly and courteously, taking orders accurately and providing excellent customer service.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of orders.
- Follow all safety protocols in food handling, storage, and production to prevent contamination or accidents.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, culinary arts, or a related food industry role is preferred.
- Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Strong knife skills, slicing techniques, and familiarity with food preparation methods are highly desirable.
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation is beneficial.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining high standards of food safety management.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with kitchen staff and customers.
- Demonstrated understanding of safety standards in production environments and proper food handling procedures.
