Seeking a skilled Heavy Civil Construction Foreman to join our Team.
Duties / Qualifications shall include but not be limited to:
1. Enforcement of Federal OSHA as well as NVOSHA standards
2. Supervision & Quality Control of crew operations regarding asphalt paving, pipefitting & pipelaying, grading, compaction, treatment of subgrade / base, pipe-zone backfill, demolition, structural & non-structural excavation, installation & removal of trench / excavation shoring, and traffic control
3. Read, interpret, understand and implement plans, specifications, standards, schedules, directions by Agencies Having Authority, and direction by the Project Superintendent and Project Manager
4. Coordination with the Project Superintendent regarding daily work planning, staffing or equipment needs, safety incidents & reporting
5. Coordination with the Project Manager regarding material deliveries, material ordering, design or constructability conflicts, scheduling of testing, survey or inspection items
6. Implementation & execution of JHA meetings and safety stand-downs
7. Verification all crew members possess the appropriate certifications, training and qualifications necessary for the task at hand - this shall be a revolving requirement
8. Collection of all project-related paperwork and delivery to appropriate superior
9. Communication of delays, quantity over or underruns, or undocumented conditions to PS / PM
10. Documentation via daily logs of accomplishments, quantities of material installed / placed, delays / complications, site visitors, directions by AHAs, etc..
11. Position may be required to operate equipment, labor or performed skilled trades such as iron work, cement masonry, bricklaying, asphalt paving, or other tasks; ideal candidate must demonstrate a holistic understanding of the trade
Minimum qualifications:
1. 5+ Years experience in a direct field supervisory position
2. OSHA 30 Certification
3. Valid Nevada Class C Drivers License
4. Preferred but not required: HAZWOPER, Confined Space Entry Certified, First Aid Certified, Asbestos Pipe Worker Certified, CDL Class A or B
Pay: $45.00 - $47.00 per hour
