Position Summary
The Qualified Professional (QP) is responsible for ensuring all Peer Support Services meet North Carolina Medicaid requirements and Clinical Coverage Policy standards. The QP will provide supervision, review documentation, monitor service quality, coordinate care, and support staff development while working closely with agency leadership.
This position begins as a flexible part-time contractor role with opportunities for increased hours and advancement as the agency expands.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and administrative supervision for Peer Support Specialists
- Review and approve Person-Centered Plans (PCPs)
- Ensure documentation complies with NC Medicaid requirements
- Conduct chart reviews and quality assurance audits
- Assist with new client admissions and service implementation
- Collaborate with therapists, care managers, physicians, and community providers
- Participate in treatment planning
- Provide guidance regarding crisis intervention and referrals
- Ensure compliance with NC Medicaid policies, NCTracks, and MCO requirements
- Participate in agency meetings
- Support staff training and professional development
- Assist with agency readiness for audits and reviews
Qualifications
Applicants must meet North Carolina Medicaid requirements for a Qualified Professional.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field and required experience
OR
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, or related field
- Meet NC Medicaid Qualified Professional qualifications
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License
- Reliable transportation
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Basic computer skills
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Shelby, NC 28152
