Front Desk Host & Birthday Party Organizer

Our guests are little kids and their very tired parents. Your job is to make both of them feel taken care of.
Fun Play World is a family owned indoor playground with two Westside locations. We are looking for a warm, organized person to run our front desk and host birthday parties.
First, what this job is not. This is not babysitting and it is not playing with kids. Parents stay with their children the entire time. You run the front desk, host the parties, and keep the space clean, safe, and welcoming.
What you will do
Front desk and guest service
- Greet every family, process payments, and make check in fast and friendly
- Make sure every visitor has a signed waiver before entry
- Answer phone calls and emails promptly and professionally
- Explain our party packages clearly and help families pick the right one
Birthday parties
- Set up, run, and reset birthday parties from start to finish
- Keep the party on schedule so the host family can actually relax and enjoy it
- Handle food service, decor setup, and cleanup between bookings
Keeping the space beautiful
- Keep the playground clean, organized, and safe throughout your shift
- Restock supplies, maintain the gift shop area, take out trash
- Notice small problems before guests do
Helping us grow
- Capture photos and short videos of daily moments at the playground for our social media
- Encourage happy families to leave reviews and rebook
What we are looking for
- 18 years or older
- Genuinely warm with kids and patient with parents
- Able to juggle a busy front desk, a ringing phone, and a party running in the back
- Comfortable in a loud, high energy environment
- Available weekends. Saturdays and Sundays are our busiest days and are required
- Comfortable standing for your full shift and lifting up to 25 lbs
- Comfortable using a phone camera. No editing experience needed
- California Food Handler Card required. We will help you get it if you do not have one
- Must pass a background check
- Spanish or Russian is a plus, not a requirement
Pay and perks
- $18.50 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience
