Position Overview
Redhead Supports is hiring enthusiastic, dedicated Day Program Support Staff to work alongside children and adults with disabilities and/or mental health needs in our day program setting. We support individuals with challenging behaviors and we are looking to TRAIN you to be:

able to stay calm and avoid power struggles

willing and physically able to assist clients use the restroom and stay safe

show empathy when a client is overwhelmed

cheer them on as they take steps forward!

be thick skinned

and above all have fun and be active in the community

proficient in redirecting, de-escalating situations and handle problem behaviors.
Schedule
Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Responsibilities
-
Support individuals in daily program activities including life skills, recreational programming, and community outings
-
Implement individualized support plans and behavioral support plans as written
-
Assist with personal care needs as required, including hygiene, meals, and mobility
-
Administer medications and document accurately per agency policy
-
Monitor and document behavior, participation, and progress
-
Facilitate engaging, meaningful activities that promote independence and community inclusion
-
Transport individuals to and from community activities as needed
-
Maintain a safe, positive, and structured program environment
-
Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and families to ensure consistent support
-
Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED required
-
Must be 18 years of age or older
-
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or mental health needs preferred
-
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
-
Ability to pass a background check
-
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
-
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with physical transfers as needed

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 / hour
