We’re hiring a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator (Level II) to operate, maintain, and support daily functions of a wastewater treatment facility in Rio Rancho, NM. This role involves monitoring plant operations, performing lab testing, and ensuring systems run safely and efficiently.
Pay: $23.24 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems
- Control flow using pumps, valves, and generators
- Record meter readings and maintain shift logs
- Collect samples and perform lab testing
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs
- Respond to system issues, callouts, and emergencies
- Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines
Basic Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Level II Wastewater Certification
- 2+ years of wastewater plant operations experience
- Basic digital/computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and equipment
- Understanding of pumps, motors, and valves
- Familiarity with lab testing and analysis
- Ability to respond to callouts in a timely manner
