REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Comprehensive knowledge of
proper business terminology, procedures, office equipment and of business arithmetic
and English grammar; comprehensive knowledge of database, spreadsheet, and word
processing computer software; competency in general accepted bookkeeping practices;
ability to maintain complex clerical records; general knowledge of state and federal
accounting practice requirements; ability to establish and maintain good working
relationships with other employees and the general public; administrative aptitude; good
judgment; tact and courtesy.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education requires an
Associate degree in business or two years secondary education in business or public
administration or related field and five years of progressive experience in local
government or corporate administration; or an equivalent combination of experience and
training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid North Carolina Driver's License.
Must be individually bendable at a level required by General Statutes. (G.S. 159-29).
