Locations: New York City, NY | Fairfield, NJ | Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid: 3 days in-office)
Compensation: $125,000 to $145,000 base + benefits
About the Opportunity
We're partnering with a technology-driven organization that's investing heavily in AI and automation to transform internal business operations.
We're looking for a Software Engineer who enjoys building production software and applying AI to solve real business problems. You'll work directly with engineering and business teams to replace manual processes with intelligent applications, AI-powered workflows, and scalable backend services used across the organization.
This is an engineering-first role where you'll build production systems from day one while working alongside experienced AI engineers.
What You'll Do

Design and develop AI-powered applications, backend services, and workflow automations.

Build integrations with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, SQL databases, Salesforce, Snowflake, and other enterprise platforms.

Develop cloud-based applications using Python or TypeScript/Node.js and AWS.

Contribute to an internal AI platform by building new features, integrations, and automation capabilities.

Partner directly with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and deliver scalable software solutions.

Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
-
2+ years of professional software engineering experience. Strong internships or co-op experience developing production software will also be considered.

Experience developing applications with Python or TypeScript/Node.js.

Experience building APIs, backend services, or distributed systems.

Hands-on experience working with LLMs or AI technologies through professional work, research, open source, hackathons, or personal projects.

Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, IAM, or similar cloud technologies.

Experience integrating third-party APIs, webhooks, and enterprise applications.

Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, MCP, or other AI agent frameworks.

Experience with Microsoft Power Platform or Copilot Studio.

Experience with FastAPI, Next.js, or modern backend frameworks.

Experience with Snowflake or modern analytics platforms.

GitHub, portfolio, or personal projects demonstrating software development experience.
