Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical knowledge, and field service experience. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of HVAC equipment. The technician will ensure optimal operation of heating and cooling systems across commercial and residential properties, contributing to property maintenance and system efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and perform repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as pipe fitting and leak repairs.
- Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and equipment repair.
- Weld components as needed for system repairs or modifications.
- Operate field service vehicles safely as a <PERSON> driver when traveling between job sites.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all work performed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all installation and repair activities.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
Skills
- Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar field service role with construction or property maintenance background.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans.
- Experience with refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration if applicable.
- Skilled in plumbing, appliance repair, boiler operation, and general equipment repair.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units and heating systems.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Welding skills for system modifications or repairs are preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in maintenance tasks involving boilers or other mechanical equipment.
