Duties
- Facilitate a variety of enrichment activities including arts, sports, theater, outdoor games, and educational projects across multiple sites.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to ensure a respectful and safe environment.
- Supervise children during activities, transitions, and outdoor play to ensure their safety at all times.
- Implement youth development strategies aligned with program goals to foster social-emotional growth and teamwork.
- Maintain clear communication with site coordinators and team members to coordinate schedules and share updates on participant progress.
- Follow all first aid protocols and emergency procedures, including administering CPR or AED when necessary.
- Support children with special needs or behavioral challenges by applying appropriate classroom management and counseling techniques.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in classroom management, behavior management, and child supervision.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, and AED operation is required; ongoing training provided if needed.
- Experience in early childhood education or childhood development enhances your ability to support young learners effectively.
- Background in sports coaching, theater arts, babysitting, or outdoor work adds valuable skills for engaging diverse activities.
- Familiarity with special education practices or youth group activity facilitation is a plus.
- Proven team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide both children and fellow staff members.
