Performance Ford Bountiful, part of a high-volume, fast-paced, family-owned dealership group, is looking for an Experienced Automotive Technician (also known as Automotive Mechanic) to join our dynamic service team!
Our Bountiful location is led by an experienced team that has experience at all levels in the automotive industry. If you are interested in a main line technician position, we will expect that you are familiar and comfortable working with a flat rate pay plan. You will need to be experienced and confident in your ability to accurately diagnose and correctly repair a wide array of vehicle concerns that can range from leaks and noises to complex electrical concerns and internal engine and transmission repairs. You don't need to know everything on day one but a strong base knowledge is a must.

Compensation & Schedule
- Flat rate pay — up to $150,000+/year based on experience and performance
- Cash bonus system - Tiered based on performance
- Schedule: Monday–Friday , also open Saturdays, full time is required but beyond that we can be flexible to accommodate your work/life balance.

Responsibilities
- Accurately diagnose and communicate needed repairs to Service Advisors
- Light to heavy maintenance repair including engine, exhaust, hvac, electrical, etc.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a clean, organized workspace
- Assist in maintaining shop tools and equipment
- Service multiple makes and models as needed
- Uphold the core values of Honesty, Integrity, and Transparency
- Complete tasks as assigned by management with efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Previous automotive experience in a professional shop/business is REQUIRED
- Previous dealership experience/OEM training is a huge plus
- 4+ years of professional automotive technician experience preferred, REQUIRED for main line technician positions
- ASE Certification are a plus
- Automotive technology education is a plus
- Must have own tools (specialty tools provided)
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical problem-solving skills
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must be fluent in English
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Must pass substance screening (required for all team members)
