Sign Production Specialist: Skilled Shop Role, Monday to Friday FASTSIGNS® of Lake Worth Beach, FL · Production / Fabrication · Full Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm | Competitive hourly pay plus overtime, PTO, and paid holidays

If you take pride in building things well, this is a shop where your craftsmanship shows up on the street every day. You'll produce a real variety of work, from dimensional letters and vehicle graphics to interior and ADA signs and monument components, so no two days look the same. You'll run quality equipment, work daytime hours with your evenings and weekends free, and watch your finished signs go up across South Florida. We're an established FASTSIGNS® center with steady work and a team that takes the details seriously.
What you'll do
You'll produce and assemble a wide range of interior and exterior signs and prepare them for delivery or installation. Day to day that means operating production and finishing equipment (flatbed printers, laminators, plotters, cutters, CNC/router tables where applicable, heat guns, and hand and power tools), prepping substrates by cutting, routing, drilling, sanding, painting, applying vinyl, and mounting printed graphics, and handling file prep and output in production software. You'll follow work orders, shop drawings, and brand standards; maintain color consistency, clean cut paths, and proper lamination; pre assemble signs with the right hardware and fasteners; keep the production area organized and stocked; and inspect every finished piece for accuracy and durability before it leaves the shop. You'll follow all safety and equipment procedures in line with company policy and OSHA guidelines, and occasionally lend the installation team a hand.
What we're looking for (must-haves)
- Hands-on experience in a production, fabrication, print, or skilled trade environment
- Mechanically inclined and able to safely use hand and power tools (drills, saws, sanders, cutters, and the like)
- Strong attention to detail and consistent, high quality work
- Able to lift and carry 50 to 75 lbs and stay on your feet for extended periods
- Valid driver's license preferred
- U.S. work authorization; background screening may apply
Nice to have (not required, we'll train the rest)
- Prior sign or print production experience
- Experience with vinyl application: cut vinyl, printed graphics, and wet and dry installs
- Familiarity with substrates like acrylic, aluminum, PVC, ACM, foam board, wood, and banner material
- Working knowledge of adhesives, fasteners, laminates, and production techniques
- Ability to read shop drawings, production layouts, and installation diagrams
- Operating flatbed printers, plotters, laminators, or CNC/router equipment
- Knowledge of ADA sign manufacturing and wayfinding systems
- Producing channel letter components or monument sign parts
- Painting, finishing, or fabrication skills (routing, bending, welding, and similar)
- Understanding of production workflow, color management, and print finishing
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment or production issues
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast paced shop

Work conditions & safety This is an indoor production shop with occasional outdoor work. Expect exposure to noise, tools, machining, adhesives, paints, and printing equipment. Required PPE includes eye protection, gloves, and other equipment as needed. Occasional early mornings or extended hours come up based on workload.
