Medical Front Desk/Call Center Associate FT - Spanish speaking required
Duties include but not limited to:
- Answers, screens, and directs calls on multi-line phone system; takes detailed messages and/or forwards telephone calls to appropriate practitioner, voicemail, or pager.
- Schedules patient appointments.
- Clears messages each morning and delivers to appropriate practitioner.
- Composes and types routine correspondence, as required.
- Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, and mailing, as required.
- Organizes and maintains file system, files correspondence and other records.
- Orders and maintains supplies, arranges for equipment maintenance, and keeps reception area organize.
- Inputs patient information and demographics into computer system.
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
- Provides account information to patients including but not limited to account balances, histories.
- Provides timely resolution of patient complaints, concerns, and inquiries. Verify patient insurance information including any required authorizations, eligibility and deductibles.
- Builds effective relationships and trust with patients and potential patients by listening to their needs and educating them about the practice and services that are most appropriate for their situation.
- Responds effectively to patients requests.
- Maintains knowledge of changes to medical office environment and competition.
- Supports marketing campaigns and product launches.
- Confirms appointments.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned by management.
Bilingual English / Spanish required to support the Hispanic population.
1-2 years experience.
