Job Summary
We are looking for a Lead Engineer to join a high-growth, product-driven company where you'll own mission-critical systems, shape technical strategy, and partner directly with Product and Design to deliver exceptional user experiences. What You'll Own
Technical Leadership
- Design, architect, and deliver complex, cross-functional features from concept through production.
- Establish engineering best practices and raise the technical bar through thoughtful design and high-quality code.
- Drive architecture discussions and influence long-term technical direction.
- Mentor and coach engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and collaborative problem-solving.
Product & Innovation
- Partner closely with Product and Design to turn ambitious ideas into scalable solutions.
- Simplify complex problems while balancing business priorities with long-term platform health.
- Champion user experience and continuously improve product quality and developer productivity.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to accelerate engineering velocity.
Platform & Reliability
- Own the reliability and performance of the systems you build.
- Improve observability, monitoring, incident response, and operational excellence.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines, deployment tooling, and engineering workflows.
- Lead scalability and performance initiatives for critical services.
Required Qualifications
- 6-8 years of software engineering experience with a strong background in distributed systems.
- Expert-level proficiency in Go (Golang).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Redis, and Temporal.
- Proven success building and scaling complex distributed systems in high-growth startup environments.
- Experience owning projects from architecture through production and long-term maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
- Strong product mindset with the ability to collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Design.
- Experience leveraging modern AI development tools to improve engineering efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills with a high degree of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, in-office environment.
Preferred Experience
- Experience at high-growth technology startups in Senior Engineer, Staff Engineer, or Technical Lead roles.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems architecture and backend platform development.
- Experience building AI-powered tools, internal automation, or developer productivity solutions.
- Open-source contributions, side projects, or other examples of technical leadership outside of work.
- Passion for mentoring engineers and building high-performing technical teams.

Pay: $200,000.00 - $270,000.00 per year
