Overview
As an Automotive Lot Porter, you will be the essential link in maintaining a smooth and efficient dealership operation. Your energetic approach will ensure our lot remains organized, vehicles are properly moved and displayed, and customer experiences are positive from start to finish. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in automotive service, customer interaction, and outdoor work.
Responsibilities
- Safely move and park new, used, and service vehicles within the dealership lot, ensuring proper placement and organization
- Assist with vehicle detailing, cleaning, and light maintenance to keep vehicles presentable for customers
- Manage vehicle inventory by processing incoming and outgoing cars with accuracy and efficiency
- Support the delivery process by assisting with vehicle transport to designated areas or parking spots
- Provide excellent guest services by greeting customers, answering basic questions about vehicles, and directing them as needed
- Perform outdoor work tasks such as heavy lifting, sweeping, and maintaining lot cleanliness to uphold a professional appearance
Skills
- Strong guest services and customer service skills to create positive interactions with clients
- Experience in hospitality or retail environments is a plus for engaging with customers confidently
- Dealership experience or familiarity with automotive service processes is advantageous
- Ability to operate standard passenger cars and manual transmissions safely and confidently
- Physical stamina for outdoor work including heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist customers effectively
- Experience as a delivery driver or in retail math enhances your ability to handle transactions accurately
- Knowledge of parking regulations helps ensure proper vehicle placement on the lot
Pay: $16.00 per hour
