Position Description:
The Account Manager will serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring that Landscape Professionals of Texas has a sustained, long term relationship. The Account Manager is responsible for the management of client portfolios and property enhancements; focusing on maximizing growth and client retention.
Requirements:
- Must have strong knowledge in lawn maintenance, plant material and horticultural practices.
- An associate degree in landscape, horticulture or related field a plus.
- Proficient in basic software like – MS Word, MS Excel
- Strong communication and problem resolution skill
Essential Task & Responsibilities: Account Management:
- Develop strong positive relationships with customers based on clear and frequent communication, mutual trust and ability to meet the customer needs.
- Develop and maintain long term, loyal client relationships, which lead to 100% renewals of each account, within the customer portfolio.
- Performs inspections and monitors quality of service closely
- Works with production to get problems addressed in timely manner
- Conducts formal meetings with customers that ensure high quality and service expectations are met.
- Respond promptly to customer needs. Frequent, effective, professional and timely communication with customers.
- Assure the property meets the customer’s standards.
- Proactively present site enhancement ideas to existing customers.
- Lead and facilitate the resolution of customer problems or concerns.
- Develop personal and working relationships with the customer's base throughout their organization.
Estimation and New Sales :
- Identify new enhancement and penetration opportunities within existing customer portfolio and provide accurate and timely estimates.
- Generate new maintenance customers and contracts.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely bids for new business.
- Respond to all inquiries and requests for bids in a timely manner.
- Ensure all bids/estimates are prepared and approved as needed prior to presenting customer.
- Responsible for maximizing enhancement opportunities and achieving sales goals.
- Responsible for accurate estimates and takeoffs as needed.
- Sell and maintain acceptable gross margins for enhancements that meet company goals.
- Network and secure new sales opportunities.
Production Communications:
- Communicate regularly with production personnel to ensure customer needs and expectations are being met and exceeded.
- Develop strong relationships with production personnel to ensure that customer service and production teams are coordinated on serving customers.
Administrative/Revenue and Profit management:
- Participate in month end closes
- Complete all required paperwork in sales process (sales tracking, estimates, contracts, enhancements).
- Renews current customers in a timely manner.
- Collect outstanding customer Accounts receivables.
- Maintain satisfactory accounts receivables (A/R) levels (< 45) for their assigned accounts.
- Maintain customer profitability.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned.
