Role: Rollover Support Specialist
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Hourly
Location: In-Office/Hybrid/Remote
401GO is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Rollover Support Specialist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people navigate an administratively heavy process, isn't afraid to pick up the phone, and takes satisfaction in seeing a task through from start to finish.
You'll be the dedicated point of contact for participants who are trying to move an old 401(k) or IRA into their 401GO account – helping them get unstuck, tracking down missing information, and coordinating with outside recordkeepers (e.g. Fidelity or Empower) to help get funds where they belong.
We're searching for someone who is organized, personable, and highly detail-oriented. If you love building relationships, interacting with people, and helping solve problems, this role is for you.
You Should Be:
-
A natural communicator – Someone who can confidently lead conversations, connect with participants and provide clear guidance.
-
Highly organized – Able to track details, juggle multiple workstreams, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
-
Helpful by nature – You should enjoy problem-solving, answering questions, and proactively assisting clients.
-
Detail-driven – Precision matters in 401(k) administration, and you must be diligent about accuracy and instructions.
-
Tech-savvy – Able to navigate multiple systems, learn quickly, and use technology to its fullest potential.
-
Resourceful – Able to find a way around roadblocks and see problems through to completion.
-
Calm under pressure – You should enjoy working through problems live with our participants, assisting them through processes where sometimes you don’t know the answer when you begin.
What You’ll Be Doing:
-
Serve as the go-to contact for participants working to roll an old 401(k) or IRA into their 401GO account, guiding them through each step.
-
Reach out proactively to participants who've started the process to help them keep moving and get across the finish line.
-
Help participants track down the information and paperwork needed to complete a rollover, and explain next steps in plain language.
-
Coordinate with outside recordkeepers and custodians on participants' behalf to keep transfers on track.
-
Provide extra hands-on support for larger or more complex rollovers to make sure they're handled accurately and efficiently.
-
Share what you're seeing and hearing from participants with the broader team to help make the rollover experience better over time.
What You Bring:
-
1+ years of experience in customer service, client support, or administrative support – retirement plans, financial services, banking, or insurance strongly preferred;
-
Comfortable and confident on the phone, with the ability to explain a multi-step process clearly and patiently;
-
Strong follow-through – this role is about tracking many open items at once and not letting any slip;
-
Comfortable working in a CRM or ticketing system and picking up new tools quickly;
-
Strong oral and written communication skills;
-
Proactive self-starter with ability to manage a wide variety of tasks and meet deadlines;
