Job Description and Duties
The Customer Service Technician is a member of the Finance team and is responsible for performing a variety of specialized semi-technical duties in service to Lottery winners, players, and retailers. This position also performs routine, semi-technical duties related to the validation and payment of claims for California State Lottery prizes.
Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
- Work experience assisting the public either in person or by phone
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite programs
- Ability to follow directions, evaluate situations accurately and take effective action
- Knowledge of modern office methods, equipment, and general procedures
- Bilingual skills are desirable but not required
