We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facility.
Job Description: We are looking for a competent Facilities Maintenance Technician to manage all plant operations work and housekeeping for our psychiatric residential facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing maintenance staff, coordinating repairs, and ensuring the facility is in excellent condition at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge with carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and or HVAC skills.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills.
- A team player attitude and take direction from the Operations Director.
- The Maintenance Supervisor must be able and willing to move heavy equipment and machinery.
- This person will be responsible for the repair and calibration of various electronic instruments,
- performing component level repairs, upgrades and modifications, procedures and other
- diagnostic tools while maintaining accurate records.
- light plumbing- (faucet, toilet, drain cleaning, P-trap repair/replace)
- light electrical- (outlet, switch ballast repair/replace)
- Door repairs
- Painting
- Gate repairs
- Landscaping Experience Highly Preferred
Requirements:
- Good customer relations skills and the ability to interact with team.
- Hardworking and motivated.
- Must provide own hand tools.
- Strong plumbing, painting, and carpentry skills
- Basic electrical skills
- Basic appliance repair installation skills (stoves, dishwashers, water-heaters)
- Able to work weekend shifts and respond to emergency calls on occasion.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with policies.
- Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to
- communicate orally.
- Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in
- maintenance operations.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments.
- Ability to follow directions from a supervisor.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
- Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team
