JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations in the Day Services department. Ensure quality services are provided in accordance to all government regulations or agency policies and provide supervision to department staff.
Essential Functions
Develop and supervise community participation sites, facility-based programming, and in-house programming
Plan for growth and development of the department
Make recommendations for staffing and budgetary needs
Lead and motivate a department of employees while promoting a positive environment
Facilitate staff involvement in decision-making processes
Complete required paperwork and accurately record and maintain in department database
Monitor training, work performance, and timecards of employees and take action if necessary
Maintain compliance with all applicable agency or government regulations
Oversee billing transactions and maintain accurate records
Communicate professionally and positively with others
Facilitate or attend meetings as required by the department
Identify and resolve workplace problems
Make connections in the community and provide excellent customer service
Additional Responsibilities
Complete or attend training as assigned
Prepare and present reports as needed
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to be on-call
Ability to communicate clearly in oral and written forms
Ability to use office equipment such as fax machine, scanner, copier, phone
Ability to work a remote and flexible schedule
Advanced communication and leadership skills needed to lead a team
Analytical thinking skills to solve complex problems
Basic knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Basic knowledge of technology such as internet browsers, PDF software, database systems
Basic organization and time management skills
Basic typing and data entry skills
Moderate knowledge of government regulations
Strong attention to detail

Education
High School Diploma High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
Bachelor’s Degree Human Services field (Preferred)
Work Experience
Four years or more Experience working with people with disabilities (Preferred)
Two years or more Supervisory experience (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
Valid Driver’s License (Required)
