Job Summary
Lucky Buddy Petcare is seeking a dependable, organized Team Manager to help oversee the day-to-day operations of our professional pet care team.
This is a hands-on management position that combines team leadership, scheduling, client communication, quality control, and occasional field pet care. The Team Manager helps keep each day running smoothly by monitoring schedules and appointments, supporting Pet Care Specialists in real time, responding to questions and unexpected situations, communicating with clients, and making sure scheduled services are completed according to Lucky Buddy Petcare standards.
The Team Manager will review daily service activity and reports, help coordinate schedule changes and coverage, address operational issues as they arise, and provide guidance and support to team members throughout the day. This person may also assist with dog walks or pet care visits when additional coverage is needed.
We’re looking for someone who is highly dependable, communicates clearly, notices details, follows through, and is comfortable making sound decisions in a busy service-based environment. The right person will be able to balance supporting employees with maintaining accountability, while helping us provide consistent, professional care for our clients and their pets. This position will often step in to help with pet sitting.
Qualifications
- Previous experience supervising, leading, or coordinating a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and make sound decisions throughout the day
- Comfortable handling schedule changes, call-outs, client concerns, and unexpected situations
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Confident communicating expectations and providing constructive feedback to employees
- Able to remain calm, professional, and solutions-focused under pressure
- Comfortable working independently while keeping the owner informed of important issues
- Proficient with smartphones, email, scheduling software, and other web-based systems
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance
- Comfortable assisting with pet care visits or dog walks when needed
- Experience in pet care, veterinary care, hospitality, customer service, or another service-based business preferred
- Management or supervisory experience strongly preferred
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor the daily pet care schedule and help ensure all assigned visits are completed accurately and on time.
- Support Pet Care Specialists throughout the day with questions, schedule changes, client updates, and unexpected situations.
- Coordinate coverage for call-outs, cancellations, added visits, and other schedule changes.
- Communicate professionally with clients by phone, text, and email as needed.
- Review service reports and photos for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
- Follow up on missed information, service concerns, or other issues requiring attention.
- Help maintain accurate client, pet, scheduling, and service information in company systems.
- Monitor team communication and make sure important updates are addressed promptly.
- Provide clear direction, feedback, and support to team members.
- Help reinforce company policies, procedures, safety standards, and service expectations.
- Identify problems early and use good judgment to determine when an issue can be resolved independently and when the owner should be contacted.
- Assist with new employee training, ongoing coaching, and performance follow-up as needed.
- Help with interviews, onboarding, and other hiring-related responsibilities when assigned.
- Handle routine administrative tasks related to scheduling, client accounts, and daily operations.
- Assist with dog walks, pet sitting visits, or other field coverage when needed. Including weekends and holidays.
- Help ensure the business is prepared for the following day by communicating unresolved issues, schedule concerns, or important client information.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and good judgment when handling employee, client, and business information.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
