Mechanical Assembler

About the Role
Serac builds high-precision filling, capping, and packaging machinery for customers worldwide. We're looking for a skilled Mechanical Assembler to build these machines from the ground up — assembling from blueprints, integrating pneumatic systems, and testing to spec before shipment.
What You'll Do
- Assemble machinery from blueprints, drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs); fabricate and modify basic parts as needed
- Install pneumatic systems and perform setup, timing, and dynamic testing
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues in collaboration with the engineering team
- Maintain quality documentation and report defects and safety concerns
- Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives; prepare equipment for shipping
What You Bring
- 3–5 years assembling and troubleshooting packaging or industrial machinery
- Proficiency with power, hand, pneumatic, and fabrication tools
- Ability to read blueprints and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics
- Forklift and overhead/gantry crane experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and open to occasional travel
Preferred
- Welding experience
- Familiarity with MFG/PRO or similar ERP systems
