About You:
You're an experienced manufacturing professional with a strong understanding of machining, fabrication, or welding processes. You're comfortable analyzing technical drawings, evaluating production requirements, and developing accurate cost estimates for customers.
You're organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities without sacrificing quality or accuracy. You communicate effectively with both customers and internal teams and take pride in providing exceptional service and building strong working relationships.
Day in the Life:
As a Machining Estimator, you can expect to:
- Review customer RFQs, blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Analyze labor, material, machining, fabrication, and welding requirements
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and quotations
- Collaborate with production personnel to determine manufacturing methods and timelines
- Obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors as needed
- Communicate with customers to answer questions and clarify project requirements
- Manage multiple quoting opportunities while meeting customer deadlines
- Support customers in identifying practical manufacturing solutions
- Build strong customer relationships through responsive, professional service
What You Need to Apply:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Welding Technology, or a related field preferred but not required
- 3+ years of experience in machining, manufacturing, fabrication, welding, estimating, manufacturing engineering, CNC programming, or a related technical field
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
