The landscape design and management division of Megan Connors Gardens and Design is seeking a Horticulturist Crew Member. Megan Connors Gardens and Design provides specialized pruning, boxwood care, rose care, landscape design, installation, and maintenance to award-winning gardens and high-end clients in the Knoxville area and is committed to the highest standards in customer service, quality, and professionalism. Responsibilities: Horticulturist Crew Member will
- Install and maintain landscapes including pruning, planting and transplanting, shearing, weeding, watering, fertilizing, spraying, mulching and more
- Follow clear directions from management and crew leader and maintain personal accountabilities
- Deliver results on time and with high quality
- Take ownership of multiple activities simultaneously to accomplish goals
- Communicate effectively
- Establish and maintain effective professional and customer relationships
- Consistently communicate progress to crew leader and managers

Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively with management to meet deadlines
- Endure repetitive bending and twisting motions
- Must be able to consistently lift more than 60 pounds
- Must be able to properly and efficiently complete necessary jobsite and company paperwork
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record
- 1-3 years gardening experience
- Basic plant identification and care knowledge
- Ability to safely operate power tools, and other specialized equipment
- Ability to safely work from an 8ft ladder
- Ability to safely use shovels, pitch forks, rakes, and other hand tools
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience operating chainsaws, hedge trimmers, and other specialized equipment
- Ability to haul/back a trailer
- Associate or bachelor's degree in biology, agriculture, or related field
- Experience working in a plant nursery
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
