Job Summary
Premier Orthopedics Physical Therapy is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant, where your expertise will directly enhance patient recovery and well-being. In this vital role, you will support licensed physical therapists by implementing treatment plans, assisting with patient care, and ensuring a smooth rehabilitation in an Outpatient Orthopedics setting. You will be directly helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and achieve their health goals in a compassionate and professional environment. We specialize in Post-op treatments. Duties
- Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized care plans for patients across outpatient clinics, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, home health, and acute care settings
- Support patient care activities including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and mobility training
- Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatments, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist
- Prepare treatment areas, ensure proper use of physiotherapy equipment, and maintain a safe environment for patients during therapy sessions
- Participate in discharge planning by providing education on exercises and self-care strategies to promote ongoing recovery at home or in community settings
- Maintain accurate medical terminology records and update patient charts following established protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes for orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and other specialized populations

- Proven experience supporting physiotherapy or related healthcare services in outpatient clinics, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and the fundamentals of physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy
- Familiarity with care plans tailored for orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute or outpatient care settings
- Prior experience working with patients requiring discharge planning or rehabilitation following surgery or injury
- Strong communication skills to effectively assist with patient education and coordinate with healthcare teams
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as assisting with mobility exercises and manual therapy techniques
- Certification or licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred; relevant coursework or hands-on experience in inpatient or skilled nursing facility settings is highly valued

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
