Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, styling, braiding, coloring, and hair extensions with precision and artistry.
- Provide specialized treatments such as eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading to enhance client beauty routines.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools and workstations after each service to ensure safety and hygiene.
- Offer expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail purchases to boost sales and client satisfaction.
- Communicate clearly with clients to understand their needs and preferences while ensuring a positive salon experience through excellent customer service.
- Assist with front desk duties such as greeting clients, managing wait times, and supporting store management in daily operations.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, color theory, retail math, and sanitation practices to foster professional growth.
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with proven experience in diverse hair services including braiding and styling.
- Strong knowledge of hair extensions techniques, color theory, and the use of straight razors for grooming.
- Familiarity with salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and retail management.
- Excellent communication skills to connect with clients effectively and provide personalized recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to perform eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, and hair threading with precision.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices in a salon environment to ensure client safety at all times.
- Experience in retail sales techniques including upselling products such as hair care items or beauty accessories.
- Ability to manage multiple clients efficiently while maintaining high-quality service standards.
