Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, in a correctional setting. Duties
- Perform general dentistry procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, and prosthodontics.
- Conduct oral surgery procedures such as dental extractions.
- Assess patient needs through thorough patient evaluations, utilizing medical and dental terminology for accurate diagnosis.
- Utilize dental imaging technology and anatomical knowledge to develop effective treatment plans.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records, ensuring compliance with dental documentation standards.
- Collaborate with dental assistants in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and post-procedure care to promote long-term dental health.
Requirements
- Valid Maryland state license to practice dentistry as a General Dentist.
- Proficiency in existing dental software.
- Experience in restorative, prosthodontics, and oral surgery preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dentistry.
- Demonstrated ability in patient care, patient assessment, and medical records management.
- Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques within a dental setting.
- Prior experience working in a busy dental clinic or office environment is highly desirable.

Pay: $200,000.00 - $240,000.00 per year
