POSITION SUMMARY
The cut & plotter operator will be involved in the production of parts for aerospace, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), and other products developed at our facilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Layout & cut pre-preg fabrics and other materials associated with composite manufacturing.
- Preferred to have experience in reading and interpreting work instructions, specifications, sketches, job travelers, planning documents and engineering drawings.
· Use of computer program PatternSmith with software capabilities to nest patterns & cut files.
· Inspect fabrics and other materials for flaws and defects.
· Organize and ensure proper storage of frozen inventory such as rolls of pre-preg and other materials.
· Must have the ability to work independently as well as with representatives of other departments, project coordinators, technicians, and management.
· Schedule and prioritize incoming workflow.
· Monitor material expiration, track its progress, and update material information logs.
· Provide daily report outlining status and near-term schedule requirements as well as risk assessments that include possible solutions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimal CAD or 2D drafting experience preferred but not required.
· The ability to stand for long durations of time.
· Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
· Enthusiasm, willingness, and ability to learn.
· Precise accurate cutting ability. Attention to detail and meticulous eye.
· A longer reach would be beneficial but not required.
· Work well independently or within a team in a positive collaborative manner.
· Willingness to help teammates out in achieving common goals.
· Respectful, dependable, reliable, great attitude, goal orientated, & superb work ethic.
· Prior experiences running plotter or router tables are a plus but not a requirement.
· Prior experience with Autometrix or PatternSmith software would be beneficial.
· Periodic weekend or evening work is expected.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
